Review: Angels & Demons

I just finished reading this book. For the first 2/3 of the book I was really enjoying the story. It was captivating and entertaining. When reading Dan Brown's novels you just have to accept that the hero, Robert Langdon, is going to solve the puzzles using historical facts (any of it real, or all fictional history?) and you will not be able to solve the puzzles yourself. These are not whodunnit novels. But the story is so interesting, you don't care.

However, the ending of the book was extremely disappointing. The plot twists were unexpected, but also unappreciated. This is one story that would have been much, MUCH, better if the ending had been more straightforward. It went from eventually becoming a blockbuster summer action film to being one of those crappy-assed B films, probably staring Vin Deisel (as the Hassassin) or someone of that ilk.

This review should probably be on my rant and rave page because I really hate it when books or movies have a great storyline but are ruined by a crappy ending.
